Frequently Asked Questions

Everything people usually want to know before booking dog walking, pet sitting or boarding in London, Ontario. If your question isn't here, just ask - we're happy to talk it through.

Do you serve all of London, Ontario?

Yes. We walk, sit and board pets across the whole City of London, Ontario. Check your postal code to be sure. If you are just outside the city, tell us where you are and we will let you know whether we can reach you.

How does the free meet-and-greet work?

Before any first booking we meet you and your pet, at no charge. It takes about 30 minutes, at your home, ours, a local park, or on a video call first. We go through routines, feeding, medication, favourite walks, quirks, how we get in, and your emergency contacts, and your pet gets to know us.

How far in advance should I book?

For regular walks and visits, a week or so gives us time for the meet-and-greet. For boarding and holiday sitting, book as early as you can - holidays and long weekends fill first. Last-minute requests are still worth asking about.

Do you work weekends and holidays?

Yes. Walks, visits and boarding run seven days a week, holidays included. A $10 holiday fee applies on statutory holidays and peak dates, and we always tell you before you book.

How do I pay?

We confirm the price with you first, then you pay by e-transfer or cash. There is no online checkout, and nothing is ever charged automatically.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Plans change, and we understand. Tell us as early as you can. We agree our cancellation terms with you before your first booking, so there are no surprises.

What does a dog walk include?

A one-on-one walk of 30 minutes ($25) or 60 minutes ($35), at your dog's pace, followed by a photo and a quick update to your phone. We agree the route, the routine and any house rules at the meet-and-greet.

Do you walk my dog with other dogs?

No. Walks are one-on-one: just your dog, or the dogs who live with you. Each extra dog from your home is +$10 per walk.

Can I book the same walk every week?

Yes. Most walking clients book regular days each week, and one-off walks are welcome too.

What is the difference between pet sitting and boarding?

Pet sitting means we visit your home and your pet stays in their own space. Boarding means your pet stays with us, in our home in London, Ontario - never a kennel.

What do you charge for more than one pet?

The rate covers your first pet, then each extra one is added on: $10 per extra dog and $5 per extra cat, for both sitting visits and boarding nights. So two dogs boarding is $45 a night, and a dog and a cat sitting visit is $30.

Are there any extra fees?

Two, and we always tell you before you book. A $5 travel fee may apply for addresses further from us, and a $10 holiday fee applies on statutory holidays and peak dates. Nothing else is added on.

Will I hear from you while I'm away?

Every visit ends with a photo report card - what your pet ate, how they're doing, and pictures - and boarding guests get a photo update every day.

Can you give medication?

Yes, for oral medication and routine treatments. Tell us exactly what's needed at the meet-and-greet and we'll follow your instructions and your vet's to the letter.

How many pets do you board at once?

Only a small number at a time, deliberately. Boarding with us is a home, not a kennel, and keeping numbers low is how every guest gets real attention.

What if my dog is nervous or reactive?

Tell us at the meet-and-greet. We'd rather know everything up front and be honest with you about whether we're the right fit than take on a booking that won't work for your dog.

Do you do anything else around the house?

On sitting visits we'll bring in the mail, water the plants, take the bins out and rotate a light or two so the house looks lived-in. No extra charge.

How do keys and access work?

We agree it at the meet-and-greet: a spare key, a lockbox or a door code, whatever suits you. We only use it for your bookings.

What happens in an emergency?

At the meet-and-greet we take your vet's details and an emergency contact. If anything about your pet worries us, we contact you straight away, and your vet if needed.

Do you still offer pet photography and treats?

Both are coming soon. For now every client gets a free surprise photo of their pet along the way, and boarding guests go home with a homemade thank-you treat. Join the list to hear when they launch.
